The Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Government of Goa is a regulatory body and its main objective is to implement various statutory provisions as contained in the Essential Commodities Act 1955 and the rules made there under regulating procurement and/or distribution of essential commodities like rice, wheat, sugar, edible oil and kerosene oil under the Public Distribution System (PDS).
The civil supplies department is a very important department in the government as it functions very closely to the people of the Goa. The department performs various regulatory activities which will ensure the proper procurement, distribution and storage of the food grains and other commodities. The department also looks in to the various problems of the people relating to the PDS and accepts the grievances of the people relating to the distribution of subsidised commodities.
How to check your Goa Ration Card Status Details Online
The citizens of Goa can know their Goa RC status via two methods:
Method-1:
- Go to the URL given here http://goacivilsupplies.gov.in/ or you also use following Direct Link http://goacivilsupplies.gov.in/KnowRC.aspx to check the card details
- Then now click on “Know Your Ration Card” in the webpage
- Now give the Ration card details online District, Taluka, Village, Name of Head of Family
- Now Click on “Search Image” to get your Ration Card Details displayed on the screen.
Method-2:
- Visit GOA’s e-PDS Portal at http://epds.nic.in/nic-scbpdsGOA/epds/#
- Now click on “OTHERS” Option on lift side of the website.
- Click on Ration Card “Ration Card Search”
- Next Click on View “Ration Card Details”
- Enter your RC No/Old RC No
- Press on “Search” button to get the Ration Card details displayed
- Click on “Print” to take a Printed Copy of Ration Card.
