1. Yellow Ration Card
Annual family income must be within the range Rs. 15,000. Besides this, none of the family member shall be paying any sort of tax and they must not be a Doctor/Lawyer/CA or Architect. These are selected from BPL families and include these cases: widows, mentally/physically ill persons, disabled persons, senior citizens who are not accepted by their children, tribal communities. In this category, priority will be given to HIV/AIDS affected persons.

4. Saffron Ration Card
Income range more than Rs. 15,000 and less than 1 Lac annually. Members are not supposed to have a four wheeler unless and until you are a taxi driver and are also not supposed to have more than 4 hectare of irrigated land.

5. White Ration Card
Issued to families with annual income more than Rs. 1 Lac.

As per latest instructions from officials, ration card holders in Pune district will have to link their Aadhar Card Numbers (UIDAI Nymbers) with ration cards. This process is under the part of campaign where ration cards are getting linked to UIDAI Numbers. All this is being done to curb hefty amount of black marketing that is done using PDS system.

Once the PDS + UIDAI scheme is successful, we will see real time reports of how the supplied ration is being getting used and what measures government needs to apply as per the concerned area. How to make changes in Manipur Ration Card

In case you have changed your name and want to modify it in the ration card, then you need to submit new application form mentioning the type of modification i.e. name change along with supported document. Document can be a simple newspaper cutting where you have declared the name change. You will be issued a new ration card on the same day when you submit the rasan card form.

For address change you will need to submit documents that show your new address. It can be an electricity bill copy of new address. You have two options of verifying new address. Either two of your neighbors should give written statement about your address change or you can ask ration card inspector to visit and verify your new address. Once the address is verified you will be issued new card within 7 days.

For addition/deletion of names, you will have to submit documents like birth/death certificate, surrender card etc.
