It is something new that I haven’t covered so far. After registration, you will have to download and print e-ration card in Delhi. Please follow the below procedure to get it done:

• This page will head over you to official webpage that will look like as shown in below image:

• You will be asked few details which are required for downloading the e ration card

• Details you need to enter are: Ration Card Number, Name of Family’s Head, Aadhar Card Number of family head (NFS ID will also work), year f birth of family head, mobile number that you have provided during NFS registration or have later registered at their official portal.Once you fill in all the details, hit the Continue option and you will get your e ration card downloaded in seconds.

Now take colored print of downloaded card and get it laminated/covered (for protection) for long use. You can use this e ration card in all the reference where you were using normal ration card till now.

It is who can apply for all the amendments/changes, issuing duplicate ration cards etc. Delhi Government provides the provision of changing head of the family in entire state (in fact all state government has the provision to change the HOF name/details). Here we will have a detailed look on how to change head of family in Delhi Ration Card.

It is an easy process that will require you to submit an application form/request to the nearest ration card authority. Before the main process, let we have a quick look on other required things.

When to change Head of Family details in Ration Card

Below are the scenarios when you can change the HoF details in your rashan card:

• In case of death or other mis-happening: You are required to change head details in case of death or any other related mis-happening with the head of the family.

• Present HOF is transferred to other location and is going to apply for separate Ration Card: it is mostly applicable for Government employees who keep getting transfers on regular basis. Consider a scenario where present HOF has been transferred to some other location but his family continuous to stay at the current address only (because of any reason). Now if that person wants to issue a new separate ration card against his name then he will have to remove his name from the existing card.

• Marriage: It can be changed in case present head is moving away and need to enroll his/her name n new ration card.• New head if going to be adult: This is applicable if you were waiting for the actual head of the family to grow to 18 i.e. to become adult.

• Other Reasons: There might be several other reasons for changing head details. These can vary from family to family.

Application fee and time required for issuing duplicate ration card in Delhi

You will have to pay minimal processing fee ranging from Rs. 5 – 45 for getting the new duplicate ration card. Application fee changes from time to time and depends on the ration card type also. It will be minimum (or no fee even) for Antyodaya Ration Cards and will be max for Above Poverty Line (APL) ration cards.

Delhi Government provides all ration card related facilities/activities online. You can apply for Delhi Ration Card online; can check the status online easily. Delhi Government has provided the provision of modifying your ration card details online as well. Modification includes addition/deletion/change of name and address in the existing ration card. We will see step by step details about how to do the same here.

How to Add/Delete Names in the Ration Card

We need to add new names to ration card in case of new born baby (you will need to get birth certificate in this case) and after marriage (usually the name of the wife).

We need to delete names from ration cards in case of death (death certificate required) and in case of marriage where the name of the bride needs to be removed from the current ration card.

You can make any of the above changes using this guide:

• Fill in all the details asked in application form

• Submit the duly filled application form along with proofs/certificates like Voter ID Card, Aadhar Card (identity verification basically) and some residence proof• In case you are applying for changing the ration card address then you need to submit deletion/surrender certificate of previous location also (this certificate need to be issued by the competent authority)

You need below certificates/proof for amending details in existing ration card in Delhi area:
• Birth/Death/Marriage certificate for adding/deleting names

• Copy of Aadhar Card Number or EID No. or NPR Number of the person whose name need to be added/deleted or modified

• In case of address change, you need to submit proof of new residence address.
